The Sunshine Coast has very few campervan depots of its own, so almost everyone picks up in Brisbane (about 1.5 hours south), where every major brand — Apollo, Britz, Maui, JUCY, Spaceships and more — has depots near the airport. From there it is a simple, fully sealed drive north up the Bruce Highway. Sunshine Coast Airport (Maroochydore) is an option if you are flying in, but vehicle choice is far greater out of Brisbane.
Driving Tips
The Bruce Highway (M1) links Brisbane and the Sunshine Coast and is an easy dual-carriageway drive. The Glass House Mountains tourist drive and the hinterland roads up to Maleny and Montville are winding and steep in places — take them slowly in a larger motorhome. Beachfront parking at Noosa and Mooloolaba is limited and time-restricted in summer, so arrive early or use the larger car parks set back from the sand.
